Blood tests take place at community phlebotomy clinics in three locations in Waltham Forest:
- Silverthorn Medical Centre, Chingford, E4 6UN. 8.15am to 4.00pm
- St James Health Centre, Walthamstow, E17 7NH. 8.15am to 5.30pm
- Langthorne Health Centre, Leytonstone, E11 4HX, 8.15am to 5.30pm
(This clinic provides the most suitable environment for patients with learning disabilities and autism to have their blood test)

If you are unable to book your own appointment, a relative or carer can also register to book on your behalf.
Blood tests at home
If you need a blood test but are unable to leave home because of health or mobility reasons then please let us know so we can arrange for a phlebotomist to visit you at home.
Blood tests for children
The community phlebotomy service is available to all children aged 10 and over. Children under the age of 10 requiring a blood test should attend Whipps Cross Hospital in the outpatients department which runs on Tuesday and Thursdays only from 9.30am – 3.30pm.
